MULTIFAMILY URBANISM
Tucker Building has participated and been involved in the growing trend toward Urbanism and the benefits it provides by building structures where our clients live, work and play. Currently, TBC is completing Beaufort’s first LEED certified Live Work Building providing both the Design and Construction Services. We have completed over 50 individual Live Work Loft projects and 36 individual Flats units.
710 Boundary Street was Tucker Building’s first project in 2000 which eventually won the Best New Construction Award in 2001. This three story building was constructed exclusively from light gauge metal and concrete.
This photo shows one of the completed Loft residential units which has siltstone countertops, built in book cases, stainless steel appliances and custom wood cabinetry.
1600 Burnside is the latest Live Work project in Beaufort which will be a LEED Certified building utilizing the latest design in structural steel and wood framing to achieve superior sound and insulation values.
This building is constructed to allow for first floor commercial shops and offices while the second and third floors will contain high end finished residential lofts. The front of the building has two story covered porches to overlook the tidal marsh and park.
